On December 19, a driver hit and killed a man on the side of the road. CBS DFW reports that the man was trying to assist his wife with her broken down car near 3300 Highway 170 eastbound when a passing car struck the man, killing him at the scene. Authorities stated that the man who was killed was 57-year-old Richard Perrin. His children were in the car at the time of the incident but there is no information on whether they were injured at the scene.
When someone you love has been killed by a negligent driver, you still have rights. You have the right to bring suit against the driver to receive compensation. Of course, no amount of money can bring back your loved one. However, compensation can assist you with burial costs, financial support for loss of income, and loss of consortium.
